St Lucia Boat Tours Shoreline departs daily from the Siyabonga Jetty just before crossing the St Lucia Estuary. These two hour boat journeys get one close to the resident Hippo’s and Nile Crocodiles that reside in the area. This magnificent outing departs every two hours and really should be one of your highlights while in the St Lucia area. The St Lucia Estuary is one of the largest in Africa and during the wet season can extend as far as 85km while during the dry season up to 65km. It is estimated that their is aprox 800 Hippo’s and 1200 Nile Crocodiles not to mention the abundance of Birdlife that one may also experience while out on the water. Other wildlife that one may see also includes Buffalo and Leopard that are seen occasional next to the Banks.
